ABOUT ME

BIOGRAPHY

I have been continuously practicing appellate and post-conviction litigation ever since I graduated from law school.

My first year out of law school, I was honored with a year-long clerkship working as an attorney with the Second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth, Texas. At the end of my clerkship, I became a briefing attorney with the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Texas. As a briefing attorney, I worked extensively on federal habeas corpus petitions, based on both state and federal convictions.

I stayed with the federal court for over five years before opening up my own law practice in January of 2014.

From the very first day of being in private practice, I knew I wanted to use my unique background and understanding gained from years working as a court attorney to fight for people I believe in and for issues I am passionate about. I wanted to help defend people and our Constitution. Appellate and post-conviction litigation was a natural fit, which is why I have dedicated my career to helping people and their families after trial.

Since opening my own practice, I have litigated cases from the United States Supreme Court down to local county courts.
